DPS Go Green Challenge News from the Schools!
Western International Clark Park Clean Up
The Green Cowboys at Western International High School hosted a clean up day at Clark Park in southwest Detroit! The 24 student volunteers came from all different grade levels.They met at the library with their Sustainability Coordinator Mr. Bowles and split into three groups, who then went to different sections of the park and bagged up trash and recyclable material. People in the community thanked the students for taking the initiative to clean the park and even joined in. The students also put up posters encouraging people to recycle and to put any non-recyclable material in the appropriate bins. 
DIA Trunk or Treat
This past Friday October 30th, 2015, Detroit International Academy will be having a trunk or treat. Elementary and middle school students went around to the high school classes and “trick or treated”. The science teachers at the school will also be hosting a spooky science fair with the student and the green team will be using vegetables from their garden to make healthy snacks. 

Cody DIT Harvest Festival
This past Friday October 23, 2015, Cody DIT hosted a fall harvest festival! At the festival the community harvested the last of their garden and put it to bed. There were different games and activities for those who attended the festival.
