This February we took our group yearbook pictures, planted the seeds from our seed potluck this November, and we had a great discussion about our Capstone project.
On February 1st, we began our session by choosing the seeds we brought earlier this year and planting them in gravel. Later that session, we took a group photo for the yearbook.
Later into the month, we met to brainstorm more decisions about the activities that would take place in our Green Fair. We decided we will include weatherizing races, a skit demonstrating the challenges we went through to get fully functioning lights in Renaissance, a lesson about overpopulation, and a tour of our garden. Another idea was to have students from Foreign Language Immersion and Cultural Studies (FLICS) attend the event in the morning, and have students from Renaissance attend in the afternoon. We are very excited for the Green Fair, and we can’t wait to educate our peers about the importance of a clean environment!
